Keywords. If you’re familiar with FBA selling at all, you’re probably familiar with this concept. They’re the glue that holds all of eCommerce together.
Think about it: how does a customer find your listing? They type in a keyword phrase, and listings associated with it appear. In order to climb up the sales rankings, you need keywords that not only attract eyeballs on your listing, but also bring in conversions.
Where do you find these keywords, though? Say hi to ZonGuru’s Keywords on Fire. This powerful FBA listing optimization tool brings you reverse-looked up, de-duped lists full powerful, relevant keywords that attract customers and bring in sales. Let’s break down how to best utilize it to beef up your FBA listings.
How to Optimize Your Private Label Listing With Keywords on Fire
Step #1: Enter Keyword/Phrase
Keywords on Fire gives you 2 ways to grab keywords: by inputting a product ASIN, or by adding a group of up to 25 products found using a search phrase (i.e., grabbing 25 products associated with the phrase “USB battery pack”). To search by phrase, simply click on the “add product by phrase” button, and type your search phrase into the popup window.
Type your search phrase into this window
Once you click search, a list of 25 products will appear with checkboxes next to each of them. You can add individual products, or click the “Select All” button at the bottom of the popup.
Click the “Select All” button to add all 25 products
While you can select just a few products from the list, it’s recommended to select all so that you get as many keyword results as possible.
Name your session and get your keywords!
After selecting the products, their ASINs will auto-populate in the search bar. From here, just name your session (in this case, “Alzheimer clock”) and click the “Run Keyword Analysis” button!
Once clicked, it will take a couple of minutes to grab all the data from Amazon. Don’t worry, we’ll alert you when it’s ready.
Step #2: Check out the Keywords!
Your Keywords on Fire session results
Much like our Chrome Extension tool, Keywords on Fire throws a lot of data per keyword at you. It can be confusing at first, but trust us: this is the data you need to make informed decisions. Let’s break it down.
- ZG Score – A scale of 0 to 100 that rates the overall value of your listing.
- KW $ – The estimated monthly combined revenue that the keyword brings in for listings in the top 25.
- Search Volume – The number of exact match monthly searches for that keyword.
- Top 25 Comp – The number of top 25 competitors.
- Units – The average number of units sold per month for listings ranking in the top 25.
- Reviews – The average number of reviews for listings in the top 25.
- Price – The average price for listings ranking in the top 25.
- KW Title – The percent of listings that have the keyword in their title.
- PPC Bid – The estimated PPC bid to appear for advertisements being displayed for this keyword.
- Top 3 Keyword $ – The combined revenue for the top 3 listings that occur as a result of ranking for the keyword.
- Top 3 Clicks – The combined percentage of clicks that the top 3 listings received in comparison to all of the clicks.
- Top 3 Conv – The combined percentage of conversion that the top 3 listings received in comparison to all of the conversions.
The thing that makes Keywords on Fire so much more powerful is data. As you can see above, our search takes into account all of the factors that we, as sellers ourselves, take into account such as search volume, monthly revenue, and more. Our exclusive ZG launch number is here to help; the higher the number, the more valuable the keyword!
Is there too much data? Not a problem. Advanced filtering options let you filter out different results based on word length, character length, ZG score, and more.
After filtering your list and narrowing down your results, it’s time to put them in your listing so you grab eyeballs and bring in conversions. Lucky for you, the ability to export your keywords straight into Listing Optimizer is waiting.
Step #3: Optimize Your FBA Listing
Enter your ASIN to grab your listing info
Listing Optimizer is the peanut butter to Keywords on Fire’s jelly. Simply enter your listing’s ASIN to grab all its info, import your keyword list in, and Listing Optimizer will perform an audit and tell you where to put your keywords for the best chances of converting with them.
Listing Optimizer looks at your listing and tells you where to put your keywords
Take a look at your keywords on the left. See those little icons next to them? They tell you where your keyword is located in the listing: the red “T” refers to the listing title, green “D” refers to description, and red “B” refers to bullet points. One last icon that doesn’t appear here is “K” for backend keywords.
